The ocean is a vital ingredient in some of the world's finest wines. Believe it or not, it provides a weather dynamic that is a component to the success of some of the most important and successful wine growing regions of the world. Whenever I travel to the west coast to visit with winemakers or seek out new wines, I spend at least part of one day with my feet in the sand. It is where I become reconnected. It is where I can put behind the craziness of the wine industry and where I can remember why I started this to begin with...to find delicious, well-crafted wines that were varietally true and provide a real sense of terroir. Simplicity, purity and truth. That's what each of these wines represent.
